My name is Larie
(sounds like Marie but with and L). Yes it's a different name and has
caused some grief for me through the years but I have come to appreciate having
such a different name. That may be why I gave my daughter the middle name of
Autumn, yes she is part of the inspiration that created my business and blog
name. She also started at a young age
doing crafts and many with fabric. I
love everything about fabric and always have. There is something about
going into a fabric store that just makes me feel so warm and fuzzy (and that's
before I actually touch it). When I
learned to quilt it was by hand, boy did that take a long time. People would ask if I could make them a quilt
and I would be like sure but then they told me they wanted it within a couple
of weeks – WHAT. It takes time to hand
quilt a project. All of these things led
me down the path to open my own long arm quilting business. My business name is Autumn’s Space Quilting
Service. I don’t have a computer hooked
up to my long arm machine as many have moved on to do. There is still something about the individual
quilt that I believe needs a hands on approach. I agree that a computer can do a “perfect”
pattern but then again it can be quick to jam up and rip a customer’s quilt top
and I just won’t take that chance. I
decided to start a blog to support my Etsy store and long arm quilt business,
however as I start to think about it I believe my blog will take a shape of its
own. So the journey begins, please join
me as I travel through time and allow yourself the pleasure of seeing things
through my eyes…………..
