Monday, Monday feels that way.............

Sewing backwards.  I guess I can tell it is Monday.  After being so relieved that I finished another Etsy project I discovered it was sewn incorrectly - UGH what was I thinking - I guess it wasn't about the item I was sewing.  So the afternoon was spent backward sewing......anyone know the feeling??????

Friday mornings are for finishing the last of the weeks long arm jobs.  This Friday was a quilt made by my friend who owns a yarn shop. She also has taken up quilting.  This is her first quilt of 2013 and it is amazing. She asked me to just play with a design and have fun with it-the swirl design was more then fun it was enjoyable and I was actually sorry when I finished - I wanted to do more.  Sometimes it is hard when a customer says "just do what you want".  If you really know the person you have some idea what they would like but man if you don't know them it can be a struggle.  So ladies when taking your quilt tops to your local long arm quilter be kind and let them have some idea what your vision is.

Travel Thursday

When possible on Thursday I have the pleasure of getting together with a few of my quilting buddies.  For many years now we have traveled from house to house to spend a few hours sewing (sometimes knitting) and of course eating.  Any quilter knows that when a group gets together we must have treats.  In this very cold weather I was really hoping my car would start so I could go - YEEPEE - it started the first time I tried.  You will soon see the project I was working on as it will be an item I post in my Etsy Shop, something with the luck of the Irish.  Next Thursday I will host the group stay tune for what we get into then.

So much to learn

WOW - I can not believe there are so many "in's and out's" to learn about social media,,,,,it's so much more then Facebook.  Tonight my mind is like mush having spent hours trying to remember all I learned from my wonderful and gracious teacher.  First thing I learned is my original blog was not all it should have been hence why I have a new blog which I hope was easy for you to find.   As I learn to grow all of this I invite you to join me on my journey.
